Starbucks is an American coffee company, started in 1971 in Seattle, Washington, by three partners, English teacher Jerry Baldwin, history teacher, and writer. The company has, in November 2021, more than 16,226 branches in 84 countries around the world, including 15,444 in the United States of America, and more than 383,000 employees in all its branches.
